Equal Access Unit

The Equal Access Unit (E.A.U.) is dedicated to supporting students with disabilities and/or other special educational needs by providing targeted services that aim to improve accessibility to the educational process, empower skills for personal development, offer individualised academic support, and promote equitable participation in all activities and initiatives within the University and the academic community.

Mission of the E.A.U.:

• To ensure equal access to academic studies for students with diverse abilities and requirements.
• To guarantee unrestricted and equitable participation in the academic and social life of the University Community, including all relevant activities throughout their course of study.

Vision of the E.A.U.:

• To foster the development of an inclusive academic environment that embraces diversity and ensures equal opportunities for all.

The Unit serves all undergraduate and postgraduate students with disabilities and special educational needs at Democritus University of Thrace (D.U.Th.), offering its services free of charge.
